April: Demo Day, Designer Necklaces, Work, Tea and Pretty Things...
Sorry it's been a while between blog posts, it's been so busy here the last couple of weeks that we haven't had a spare minute (honestly we haven't just been drinking tea and making pretty things.....)
A big Thank You to everyone who attended the Cutlebug Demo morning with Norma, it was a roaring success and we've had some great feedback from it. If you did miss that then there is an all day demo this Saturday, 9th April so maybe we'll see you then. It's free to attend and there will be lots of demo-ing, make and takes and of course teas and coffees will be provided (ssh don't tell anyone but I've heard a rumour that there will be cupcakes too) - what more could you want, a cup of tea, a bun and some inspiring crafting - we'll see you there then?
Mummy While will be in attendance, her flights are booked and she's ready to go, although with the weather the way it is at the moment she's going need to leave space in her suitcase for welly boots. For anyone who hasn't met Mummy While she's was art college girl who has had a career in dressmaking and millinery and does amazing things with stamps and watercolouring - yes we're just a teeny tiny bit jealous of all that too! She will be demo-ing a lovely set of stamps and Sara has challenged her to make as many cards as possible from just that one set. The last time a challenge like that was set Mummy While managed to get 18 cards from one set of peel-offs so we're looking forward to seeing what she comes up with this time.
We've also managed to get the lovely Norma T to agree to come back and do some more Cuttlebug Demo-ing, she just keeps finding new ways to use the dies and embossing folders so we're excited to see what else she's got up her sleeve. We're a little bit in awe of the way she makes one little die do so much, talk about getting value for money! Norma T you're our Cuttlebug Queen!!!
So what have we been doing lately I here you ask? Well we have to confess to drinking some tea and eating some cake, but mostly we've been reviewing our product range and having a general sort out. Sara has been making some lovely sets of Wedding Invitations and we'll be continuing this as we put together an Idea's Album for Wedding Stationery. Barbara has been making an AMAZING necklace using a £75 Nicole Farhi piece as inspiration. So if, like us, you love designer, but want to put your own twist on it you're going to love this. The best thing about it is that you can make it whatever colour you want and it's Easy-Peasy, Lemon-Squeezy to make too. Call in and ask to see it and we're sure you'll love it too.

Richard has been working really hard behind the scenes to get the web-shop ready for launch shortly (more details soon, promise) so even if you can't call in and see us you'll still be able to shop and support Crafters&Co from the comfort of home. We know that the behind the scenes computery stuff isn't very exciting but having an online shop WILL be exciting for us so watch this space for much yippee-ing (yes, yippee-ing is a word, honestly it is) and general excitement when it launches.
April's been busying trying to decide which of our many jewellery pieces she likes best, as it's April's 21st Birthday this month and as she loves all the sparkly pretty jewellery we decided that we should dedicate Jewellery Classes this time round to "April's All-Time Most Adored", so far she's picked the crystal ring and the crocheted cuff. (....and is torn between some of the others, so we'll let you know shortly what the others are going to be.) If you've ever missed one of our jewellery classes then keep an eye out for the class lists as this is your chance.
Ruth has settled in and has been busy sorting stock and designing kits/packs, watch this space for more on those as time progresses. Thank you for everyone who has wished Ruth well in her new job with us, I don't think we could get rid of her now if we tried! (Edit by Ruth - Not a chance, you're stuck with me now.)
So as you can see we've been busy, busy bees and as the kettle's boiling now we're going to sign off here, As Always Until Next Time.......Happy Crafting]]>
