Get Christmas Wrapped up! Sneak Preview Step 1

What evokes memories of Christmas past more than flickering candlelight?  From the candles that the carol singers carried to the centrepiece of your Christmas table there is simply nothing nicer than the warm glow of a candle.  Lighting the candles before tucking into a scrumptious Christmas dinner makes everything feel just that bit more special.  A really simple but very beautiful way to make your candles stand out from the rest is to make beaded wraps for them.

Beaded candle

Simply take a piece of memory wire and make a right angled bend of about 1" at the bottom of it.  Thread beads, pearls and crystals onto your wire (don't skimp on the crystals, you want your candles to really sparkle) until you reach about 1" from the top then make another right angled bend.  Using a plain pillar candle poke the wire into the bottom of it then wind it around and up the candle finishing by poking the end into the candle near the top.  With care these wraps can be used again and again and best of all they flatten down into a loop to store away with the rest of your treasured decorations.

The beauty of these is that they can be made in any colour combination so they will be the perfect match to your colour theme - Ruth's will of course be Black and Purple while Sara will be making one in Classic Red and Cream.

Now for the Health and Safety bit........never leave burning candles unattended and be sure that your candle doesn't burn near to your beaded wrap.
